So I got a letter in the mail the other day from Costco that said that there was a recall on various beef products and that their records indicated that I had in fact purchased some of the affected products. The recall included steaks, ribs, & ground beef purchased between April 28, 2009 & May 28, 2009. Because I had purchased so much ground beef and stored it in my freezer within those time period’s I had no way to tell what stuff in my freezer was possibly affected. I just grabbed everything I had and took it right up to the customer service counter at Costco. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily they handled my return. I didn’t have a receipt or even the recall letter but the computer told them exactly how much ground beef I had purchased the cashier was even like “wow that’s a lot of beef, lol” so they just gave me a full refund on everything I had bought during the affected time period’s. I honestly probably made money on the deal as I only returned about half of what they paid me back. So if the meat was affected I had no reaction to it and I’m happy to say that I will still continue to buy from Costco. Here’s a copy of the recall letter JBS Swift Fresh Meat Products.

A little surprising but very good to hear Costco stepped up to the plate like that. Maybe they figured this was cheaper than defending a bunch of lawsuits. Wonder how this would go down at Sam’s Club.
so what’re your goals big fella? bulkin? cuttin? strength? size?
