Today join me in celebrating 4 years of Buff Blogger.com! I figured what better way to celebrate then to take a look back at some of the most popular videos & photos over the years.

First up is my Jersey Shore spoof. It doesn’t have much to do with fitness however it was the first time in my life that I ever dressed up like a chick, which I have to say is a lotta F’n work!! My fav part was filming the puke scene. The trick was done by pouring a bucket of tang mixed with oatmeal into a garbage can with a green screen behind it.

This is one that only a true “Mark” can appreciate, if you are asking what a mark is then this one may escape you. Basically this is my tribute to pro wrestling & the promo’s they used to run before a pay per view.

I’d say that this one is by far the fav with people in the fitness community. The idea simply came to me when Driven Sports sent me a sample of their at that time unreleased pre-workout Craze. It came in a tiny plastic bag with a label slapped on it that just said Craze. It looked like some top secret stuff so the mission impossible theme popped into my head & there ya go.

Yes!! I am in fact a fan of Nickelback, yes their fans do exist. I wanted to do this one cause all Nickelback bashing videos I see are never funny, prolly since the people making it dont actually know a thing about them. So I figured who better to spoof them then an actual fan. For the record I did actually catch that pic from Chad in concert while filming myself do it lol. Regardless of whether or not you like them you gotta admit that’s badass!

This may be my fav out of any video that I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Macho Man Randy Savage & when I was approached about reviewing a pre-workout called Madness (which happens to also be one of Machos’ many nicknames) it seemed like a perfect fit. Quite possibly the most work I’ve ever put into a video, also the most viewed video I’ve ever made.

Last but not least my fav character to play Nick the Nailer. Fun fact: the Nick the Nailer name came from a friend of mine Nick who wrestled in high school & was dubbed Nick the Nailer among his friends. One day I had an idea that I wanted to play an old has been wrestler type character & the name just seemed like the perfect fit similar to those names of wrestlers in the past ie: Jake the Snake, Greg the Hammer,etc. Doing this video & making an ass of myself in public I learned 2 important things as far as my crazy ideas go. #1 corporate people or as I like to call them “suits” do not appreciate anything outside of what they know & understand. Whats funny with that being said is that as soon as something catches on in this world & suits try to adapt to it the moment has already passed & they just look like your uncool uncle trying to stay with it. #2 The up & coming generation of kids know whats funny & totally get things outside the box. I literally had kids looking at me like I was Santa & someone tell me that my outfit/gimmick was the greatest thing that they’ve ever seen in their life.

I’m proud to share with you that it’s been officially over 1 year since I’ve eaten anything from a McDonalds, or TacoBell & KFC for that matter. It’s no secret to anyone that it’s terrible food for you and serves your body almost no real nutritional value, however there are 2 things in particular that made me swear it off for life. That’s probably crazy to some people to hear someone say that they’ve decided that they’ll never eat at Mickey D’s again in their entire life, but let me tell you a little story about my last meal served to me from those golden arches. I remember the day well.

It was a Friday in Feb 2010 and I’d just dropped off a friend at the airport and decided to grab a few cheeseburgers & some fries on my way home. Shortly after eating my meal I suddenly felt tired and decided to take a little nap. When I woke up several hours later is when the real fun began that would last over the next FOUR DAYS! Obviously I lost that meal, but the fun didn’t end there.

Let’s just say that the amount of force used to get it out was felt all the way down to my ‘you know where’. I’ll spare you some of the the other details, but I assure you it was a sickness that I haven’t felt ever in my life. I laid on the couch for 2 days only able to run to the bathroom in between my hot & cold flashes. I was trembling one minute and sweating the next, it was terrible. It wasn’t until Monday that I was finally able to eat again and get back to my life.

Now some may say how can I be sure that it was the Mickey D’s that caused this and I can give you 2 reasons. First, the only thing that I’d had to eat the day this began was a protein shake mixed in water and secondly, once I recovered I felt like I was fine, unlike when you have a cold or flu.

Now coincidentally, not long after this I happened to see a movie hopefully most of you are aware of called Food Inc and that’s when the true anger set in for how much I despise McDonalds as a restaurant & a company. If you’ve seen it you know what I’m saying and if not then stop whatever it is your doing right now and watch this F’n movie!!! I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I think it’s one of the most important movies I’ve watched in my life. With all this being said I think you can understand where I’m coming from when I say that I WILL NEVER EAT AT MCDONALDS AGAIN!

Most of you are probably unaware that long before I became a fitness advocate I was a HUGE fan of horror flicks, I basically grew up on them. My older brother used to make me to stay in the room & watch scary movies with him so he wouldn’t be as scared, long before I was of age to even know what what I was watching LOL. Naturally the classics such as Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street & Halloween became regular favs of mine at 11 years old. Renting a new horror flick became my weekly tradition & every Friday after school I’d select another gem off the shelf usually based on the cover alone(pre internet days, ya know VIDEO STORES). Such greats as Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Night of the Demons, Sleepaway Camp & my all time favorite “Return of the Living Dead” all made their way into my epic VHS collection (I hooked up 2 VCR’s and dubbed that shit like a boss).

It even became part of my identity in grade school as most parents wouldn’t allow their kids to watch scary movies, so my parents basement served as a haven of horror for all my buddies. I’ve maintained an interest in horror still to this day, often going opening day to the theatre. In recent years it’s been harder & harder to continue my appreciation for the the genre as so many horror flicks are disappointing or straight up awful. Up until the first Saw movie I cant remember the last time I was really like “WOW that was good”. Which leads me to one Mr James Wan, the man responsible for such greatness as the Saw franchise, Dead Silence & Insidious.

It’s safe to saw that the first Saw movie completely changed the game & made horror intriguing, scary & fun to watch again. I honestly could watch a new saw movie every year. I’ll never get tired of seeing all those creative traps, beats the hell outta a splash of paint hitting the wall for the millionth time ala Friday the 13th franchise. Again with Insidious I was completely caught off guard & pleasantly surprised with how classic, creepy & memorable the film was.

So obviously when I came across the news about this casting call contest for a walk on role in Insidious Chapter 2 I couldn’t resist. It’s actually a funny story of how I came across the video about the contest. I was in the middle of searching YouTube for the theme music to Dead Silence when the ad popped up (gotta love keyword marketing). My friend who I had just shown Insidious to was sending me audio texts of scary theme songs & I would guess them. It wasn’t till Dead Silence that I had to double check and what to my wonderful eyes would appear but a contest for me to win that all other entrants should fear

If you haven’t ever noticed before I’m a bit of what’s known as a “Wrestling Mark” not to mention I always enjoy wearing purple hologram spandex tights & leopard print cowboy hats so when WrestleMania 28 hit Miami it was on! My buddies & I spent weeks crafting our best interpretations of: Akeem, Jimmy Hart, Macho Man & Brutus the Barber Beefcake.

It was a huge hit obviously with all the other marks at Mania & if girls actually went to wrestling events we would been like Beiber at a playground (wait, I mean with lots of girls but like our age…nevermind).

So before we hit the showers after a weekend of pure madness we cut possible the most legendary promo ever known to man…about our units.
