
So do you know your sleep number? No I’m not talking about those sleep number beds either, I mean do you know how many hours of sleep is right for you each night. I know that a lot of people think you should get about 8 hours of sleep per night but for me that’s to much, I’ll wake up feeling like I need another 8 hours if I sleep that long. For me I need about 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 hours and then I’ll wake up ready to do cartwheels. Getting the perfect amount of sleep is just as important to a healthy lifestyle as working out and proper eating.
I just recently changed my sleeping habits to make sure that I go to bed approx the same time every night and I can tell you that it has improved the course of my days by 100%. Here’s a little sleep trick for those that get home from work and are tired but don’t want to fall asleep because then they’ll wake up in the middle of the night. Take a 15-45 min nap with the TV on so that you don’t fall into a deep sleep but just fall asleep enough to recharge yourself. You may want to set an alarm just in case, this trick works great and helps keep the course of your day on track.
